Whenever hospitals are mentioned, an unpleasant thought grips our minds. Hospitals and their poor infrastructure present an uncomfortable picture---just not the kind of place one would want to go for any treatment. With distinctive progress in medical sciences, today hospitals are not frowned upon.

Hospital furniture, as we all can understand, are furniture used in hospitals, medical or health care units. There are different types of hospital furniture - portable, mobile and stationery. Hospital beds, ward furniture, hospital trolley, hospital stand, hospital table, hospital chair, hospital cart, hospital cabinet, and baby furniture are some of the common hospital furniture that are used in a hospital.

Other then furniture that are being used or related to patient and health care provider, variety of other furniture are also used in hospitals like medical office furniture, bariatric furniture and also furniture for waiting rooms and lobbies.

Hospital furniture in combination with modern medical equipments have important role to play in health care. They not only helps surgeons to perform simple to complicated surgery with safety but also make patients feel comfortable during and post surgery as well. It is also important to understand that a wide variety of hospital furniture are used during medical examination of the patients enabling doctors to diagnose properly. ICU furniture aid to the safety of critical patients.

Hospital furniture, thus, have a multitude of applications and functions. A wide variety of raw materials such as steel, iron, plastic, brass or combination of two or more are used to manufacture hospital furniture.Hospital furniture along with modern medical equipments have important role to play in health care.
